To become the 1% you can’t follow the 99%” - Warren Buffet.
Let’s face it… everyone knows a Realtor. What makes me different?
92% of my business has originated from referrals. I don’t buy leads and I rely on word of mouth as my main source of advertising. What does that mean to you? It means I do a good job and people refer me to their friends.
I have worked in other areas besides real estate and I believe that truly gives me a different perspective. When you do the same thing year after year, it’s difficult to come up with new ideas.
Recently, I worked as an office manager and marketing director for a financial company. I am so thankful for that career because it helped me think outside of the box for marketing, and get a better understanding of how to prepare for retirement.
What I learned, is that I am great at seeing the big picture, but also systematic with piecing all the steps together to get to the end goal. I truly use both sides of my brain and see everything as a project.
In January 2020, I pursued a Project Management Certification from Davenport University. This was one of the biggest challenges I have faced to date and the test was HARD! (FYI, I have never failed a test in my life. So when I failed the first time around, it was quite a personal setback.) It took me two tries, but I accomplished my goal.
I have so many BIG ideas for the real estate industry. The project management certification has helped me keep it all together and process the plan of action.
