Here's a great quote!

Take uncomfortable, imperfect action.  Look forward to failure.  Get embarrassed.  You don't get to another level of life without stepping out and playing big.  GO BIG, or GO HOME!

Be disturbed with your own inaction.  Don't settle.  What is your legacy????  You were meant for more!  There is no happiness in complacency.  If you're not climbing, you're sliding.

"Would you like me to give you a formula for success? It's quite simple, really. Double your rate of failure. You are thinking of failure as the enemy of success. But it isn't at all.

Make a lot of mistakes and FAIL a lot because that is where you find success!

My best tip for saving time is TIME BLOCKING!

Let's be real.  You're probably reading this while cooking dinner and kids yelling at you to help with homework because you have to multi-task to get it all done!

I feel ya..

Which is why I wanted to share with you my best tip for saving time and getting everything done on the to-do list.

It all starts with the night before.  Look at what's on the calendar for the next day and see what absolutely has to get done tomorrow.  Those items go on the to-do list for Monday (for instance).

What needs to be done in the week?  Maybe certain items can be moved around to another day and combine the errand/running around time.

You have all heard of food prep.  Yes, it takes some time and it's usually on Sunday when I food prep until Wednesday.  It honestly saves a lot of time to cut all the vegetables at once.  Lately, I've been making a meal for about 4 people.  Let's say a small pan of lasagna.  I eat one slice right away, eat the next piece the next day, and freeze 2 pieces in snapware in the freezer to use at a different time (usually a week later, I will pull out these leftovers and reheat in the oven for another 2-meal dinner.

Sundays are my Prep for the up-and-coming week with the schedule, with food prep and even with ironing my outfits for the week.  Yes, I'm a little OCD in the planning department!

During the week, I have a set schedule of waking up, time with God, getting my mind right for the day, exercise and then the work day can begin with my coffee!  Mornings are blocked off for phone calls leading into the afternoon of paperwork.  Afternoons consist of appointments and showings.  My goal to be home around 7:00 pm at night to relax and watch TV and begin again.

Fridays – are always clean up everything from the week and what didn't get accomplished Monday through Thursday.

This schedule works pretty well for me.  You need to decide what's important for you to accomplish during the week.  If you decided to take on exercising 3 days a week, GUESS WHAT? You need to put it on your calendar.

Go accomplish your goals and get it done!  I believe in you!

Top 10 Take-Aways from My Favorite Book

  1. Take uncomfortable, imperfect action.  Look forward to failure.  Get embarrassed.  You don't get to another level of life without stepping out and playing big.  GO BIG, or GO HOME!
  2. Be the woman that you are meant to be. It starts with tiny little shifts every day.
  3. There is a villain and hero that lives within you.

I shared with you yesterday my journal entry from January 1, 2020 and my thoughts and frustrations. (See Youtube Video - https://youtu.be/88iIoL1jpSI)

Tip:  Sometimes you just need to clear your mind of the negative thoughts and feelings and write them down.  That's a step that helps me process some of my emotions.

I also shared with you one of my closing statements that I wrote which was, "If it's got to be, it's up to me"

Next Statement in the journal – "Go BIG or Go Home!  Leave a Legacy!"

I was raised in the Christian Reformed Church.  Later in life, I attended Ada Bible Church.  I will never forget the guest speaker Marvin Williams.  His message was titled, "

What are you doing with your dash?"

You see a tombstone and the tombstone gives you a birth date and a death date and there is the dash in between.

Back to the title – What are you doing with your dash?  What are you doing with the time in between birth and death?  God created you for a purpose on this earth?  What is it?  What will you be remembered for?  Are you a good person?  Do you try to help out others?  Honestly, I believe that everyone could do a better job with showing kindness and being a good person, myself included.  It is a daily decision to show up this way.

So, what do you want to be known for?  What do you truly want out of life?  It's up to you, you can create the person and life that you want.

A New Life

Here's one of my Favorite Life Hacks - Courtesy of Dean Graziosi's book, Millionaire Success Habits.

Looking Back from the Future Hack – One of my Favs!

I honestly do this every year when looking at my new year's resolutions and I have shared this hack in the past but I wanted to share it again.

If you could create the BEST LIFE in the next year, what does that look like?  Go ahead, dream big.  What does the BEST LIFE look like for you?

Usually there are main categories to consider when looking at goals: Health/Physical, Mental/Education, Spiritual, Career, Social, Financial, Family.  Sometimes I group these together.  For instance, Social and Family… I called Friends/Family or Relationships.

Taken directly from Dean Graziosi's book, here's some questions that will help you think through the perfect life this next year.

  • How much money are you making? How much money do you have saved away for your family's security? Who are you financially taking care of?
  • Where do you work every day? Do you have a home office or are you driving to a new location?
  • Are you taking your existing company to the next level? Are you starting your own company? Are you evolving through the ranks at your current job?  Do you have a better relationship with your boss?  Better yet, are you the boss?
  • How does your spouse or your partner look at you in the morning after a long day?
  • How do your relationships with your family and kids look now?
  • What exactly does your life look like when it's a year in the future and it was the best year ever?

I absolutely love this book and refer to it often and NO, I don't get a affiliate commission by promoting it, although I should because I promote this book all the time!

Super easy read with a ton of valuable information!

There is one thing that you should be grateful for.  We are so blessed to be alive and living especially after a year like 2020, Covid and a Pandemic.

We are truly blessed in life and to be happy you need to remember with gratitude everything we have been given.

Every Day...

Every day, I wake up and thank God that I'm breathing and alive.  I ask him what I should do with the day he has given me?

Every day, I have an alarm set and a note on my calendar (at the end of the day) that says, "What was great about the day?"  My prompt to remember the good things in life EVERY DAY!

Every day, I try and journal what I am grateful for.

I promise – Gratitude does lead to Happiness.  If you want to be Happy, you need to be Grateful.

Try it out for a couple weeks and see how your perspective changes!
